Cheshire Student Arrested For Threat: Police
Police say a Cheshire High School student has been arrested for making threatening comments.

CHESHIRE, CT — A Cheshire High School student has been for making threatening comments, according to police. The student’s name, age and grade hasn’t been released. Police said late Sunday night that the investigation is ongoing and there will be an increased police presence at Cheshire High School.
The student, a juvenile, has been charged with first-degree threatening and “remanded to custody based on comments made,” according to Lt. Jeffrey Sutherland.
In a statement to parents, Superintendent of Schools Jeff Solan said the student made a “serious but generic threat,” according to WFSB 3. Solan also said that there is no threat to the Cheshire school community and any individuals, WFSB 3 reports.
