Cheshire Traffic Alert: Road Closure Announced
Work is scheduled to begin next week for a pavement rehabilitation project.
The Cheshire Public Works Department has announced that the town will close Mountain Road between West Main Street and Comwall Avenue to through traffic, beginning on Friday, Oct. 2.
The road closure is due to a state-funded pavement rehabilitation project and will continue until Nov. 20.
Daily closures will be between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Only residents, school buses, emergency vehicles, local service and delivery vehicles will be allowed into the work zone during this period.
The through traffic detour route for Mountain Rd. will be West Main St. (Rte. 10) and Higgins Rd.
