Cheshire Trailer Trekkers Ready To ‘March Into March’
The Cheshire-based walking group has upcoming planned walks in Plantsville and Meriden, according to organizers.

CHESHIRE, CT — The Cheshire Trail Trekker walking group is ready to “march into March.”
The group had an all-time high turnout of 26 trekkers on their Feb. 15 walk at Butterfly Loop Trail in Wallingford, which included about eight people from the neighboring town of Meriden.
“Our of our new, friendly trekkers from Meriden shared some very interesting history of the area to include the details of an old Sears and Roebuck house that stood on the site surrounding by farmlands, so that was a great bonus,” organizers wrote in an email.

On March 4 at 11 a.m., we are especially proud and excited to have DEEP Peter Picone, Wildlife Biologist (who authored the official trail guide) lead us at the charming Panthorn Park in Plantsville (Southington), followed by pizza afterwards at the Kinsmen Brewery, for our first Saturday of the month morning trek. On Wednesday, March 15, we plan to walk the Red Bridge Meriden Linear Trail for our regular third Wednesday walk.
