The Rams claimed their first state baseball title since 1993 over the weekend and finish as the No. 1 team in the state baseball poll.

CHESHIRE, CT — A dream came true for Cheshire’s Ben DeLaubell in leading the Rams to their first state baseball championship since 1993 with a 1-0 victory over Ridgefield in the Class LL state final on Saturday afternoon, according to GameTimeCT.com.

DeLaubell drove in the game’s only run and pitched a complete-game, three-hit shutout to lift fourth-seeded Cheshire to the championship.
