Cheshire's 7-Day Forecast Includes Cooler Temps, Chance of Thunderstorms

Some areas saw temperatures that hit 90 degrees on Mother’s Day… well we’re in for a big change this week.

In fact, if you enjoy warmer temps, make sure to enjoy today’s weather as it will be sunny skies and a high of about 80 degrees.

Things change late tonight with fog rolling in and staying until Tuesday morning’s commute, and then there is a chance of some showers and thunderstorms with temps in the lows 80s. The rain threat is less than 50 percent, according to the National Weather Service.

Beginning on Wednesday, the good news is it will be sunny, but temps will be hovering in the low to mid 60s until Friday when we could hit 70 degrees.

The initial forecast for the upcoming weekend calls for a chance of rain on Saturday, only 30 percent at this time, and sunny skies on Sunday. Again temperatures will struggle to hit the upper 60s next weekend.

This Afternoon: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. South wind around 13 mph.

Tonight: Patchy fog after midnight. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. South wind 6 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Southwest wind 5 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 51. Northwest wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. Breezy, with a northwest wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 38.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 67.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 70.
