Cheshire's Lauren Anderson Scores in SCSU Field Hockey Team's Season Finale
The Owls lost to Saint Michael's in overtime.

Samantha Burns scored 3 minutes, 12 seconds into overtime to give the visiting Saint Michael’s College field hockey team a 2-1 victory over Southern Connecticut State University Saturday in New Haven.
Prior to the game, the Owls honored their lone senior, Erica Martino (of Monroe).
The Owls’ season comes to a close at 3-15 overall and 1-10 in Northeast-10 play. St. Michael’s improved to 9-9 and 5-6.

St. Michael’s opened the scoring 13:45 into play on a goal from Megan Deschaine that was assisted by Burns. That was the score at halftime.
Southern Connecticut evened the score almost eight minutes into the second half. Cheshire’s Lauren Anderson smacked in a cross from Vienna Pallisco in the middle of the circle.

Both teams had opportunities to score throughout the remainder of regulation and early in overtime, but Burns eventually scored to give the Purple Knights the win.
Goalie Audrey Dolloff stopped 14 shots for the Owls.
