CHS BOYS CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS WIN 1ST PLACE AT HOME MEET ON SEPTEMBER 12, 2023 AT CHESHIRE PARK

The Cheshire High School Boys Cross Country Teams know how to “Move It, Move It.”
They won 1st Place at a home meet at Cheshire Park on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 against Guilford, Notre Dame & Wilbur Cross high schools. In the varsity race the score was Cheshire Rams 37, Guilford 39, Notre Dame 51 & Wilbur Cross 118. At Cross Country Meets low score prevails just like golf stated Head Girls CC Coach Rob Schaefer.

The top finisher for CHS again was senior and Quad Captain Daniel D’Souza who came in second place behind first place Alex Hansen of Guilford time 17:45.02. D’Souza’s time was 17:46.77. In third place was Benjamin Farmer of Notre Dame with a time of 17:56.54. Next up was the Rams James Boyd in 4th Place time 18:14.31, Jack Lengyel 6th time 18:32.08, Tyler Caron 12th time 19:21.57, Hanan Talipan Pinedo 13th 19:26.26, Zachary Chasen 16th 19:34.06, Raine Ma 20th 19:55.27, Qasim Pasha 23rd 20:52.21, Matteo Dore 33rd 23:17.53, Jeffery Yam 34th 23:21.60, Colin Daly 36th 23:26.99, Jack Wheelehan 38th 23:27.66, Dylan Scalice 40th 23:31.20, Nikita Stepin 41st 23:42.91,Domenic Martone 43rd 23:50.74, Elias Vuoria 44th 23:58.16, Gabe Njeim 45th 24:15.53, Douglas Henderson 51st 25:53.17, 52nd Bennett Radshaw 25:55.13, and 53rd Josh Lengyel 26:17.76.
Head Coach Pam Gunneson commented about her team’s win on Tuesday, September 12th, “The win for us was an excellent result against very strong teams. It shows that we are very capable of being one of the top teams in the state. We are going to just focus on one meet at a time.”

The next event for the Cheshire High School Boys Cross Country Teams will be an away meet on Tuesday, September 19th in Branford against Branford, Hillhouse and Hamden. Race time 3:45 p.m.
