The CHS Boys Cross Country Team had a terrific week with 3 wins first at a home meet at Cheshire Park on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 then an away meet with Wallingford’s Lyman Hall on Friday, Oct 14, 2022 at Wharton Brook State Park in North Haven.

On October 11, 2022 the boys team competed against Branford, Middletown’s Xavier High School & Milford’s Jonathan Law. The score for this meet was Xavier 24, CHS 51, Jonathan Law 86 & Branford 90. Xavier Won with the Rams in 2nd Place.
The meet with Lyman Hall CHS won with a score of 19 and the Lyman Hall Trojans had 40.

Head Coach Pam Gunneson commented about her team’s win. “Tyler Caron was 1st and set a new course record in 16:35. Finishing 3rd Colin Grevelding 17:43, 4th Daniel D'Souza 17:45, 5th James Boyd 17:50, and 6th Jack Lengyel 18:21. All the boys on the team had great runs. I'm looking forward to seeing how the boys race at the SCC Championship on Wednesday October 19th at East Shore Park in New Haven.” According to Head Coach Gunneson the team’s record is now 10 wins and 2 losses which includes the SCC Divisional Championship they won 1st Place in Guilford.
The next event for the CHS Boys Cross Country Team will be the SCC Cross Country Championships at East Shore Athletic Complex-Trail on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 in New Haven. Race time 1 p.m.
