CHS DRAMA Presents Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing"

This fall, Cheshire High School Drama proudly presents William Shakespeare’s, Much Ado About Nothing. To honor our tradition of doing a play by the Bard every four years, we are pleased to offer you this witty romantic comedy. Back from war, the brave Claudio wins the hand of Hero. Unfortunately, Lady Gianna still holds a bitter grudge against Claudio for holding the position in the military she believes she deserves and she tries to get revenge by suggesting that Hero has been unfaithful. Meanwhile, Benedick and Beatrice, two ex-lovers who both claim to abhor marriage, spend their time engaging in battles of wit. Don Pedro,in an effort to occupy everyone’s time until the wedding of Hero and Claudio, suggests that Benedick and Beatrice might actually make the perfect couple...with a little prodding by their friends, of course. Will Benedick and Beatrice finally recognize their unspoken desires? Will Claudio lose his love forever or will all be put right with Hero? Join us to find out!
