The Cheshire High School Girls Cross Country Team racked up 3 more victories at their last meet on Tuesday, Sep 20, 2022 with Daniel Hand High School of Madison, Hamden High School & Career Magnet of New Haven hosted by Daniel Hand High School in Madison. The score was CHS 26, Hamden 47, Hand 54 and the score for Career Magnet of New Haven was not available. The Lady Rams are now 6 wins 0 Losses.

Head Coach Robert Schaefer again was happy with his team’s effort at the Madison Surf Club. “I am very proud of the way the girls ran today. We just raced three days ago, so we had to gear up for this one. Our girls competed well and won three tough races. I expect all of my girls to run strong, and they did.” Schaefer also mentioned a surprise at the Madison meet involving Alexa Ciccone he stated, “Alexa was defeated by a talented runner on her home course. I know Alexa will have revenge on her mind the next time they meet.” The Hand athlete who finished first before Ciccone was Annacy Vlieks with a time of 18:47.
The next event for the CHS Girls Cross Country Team is the Winding Trails-Cross Country Course in Farmington on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Race time 9 a.m.
