Crash Closes Part Of Route 10 In Cheshire
Police say a car crashed into a utility pole.

CHESHIRE, CT — A portion of Route 10 in Cheshire will be closed as crews repair a utility pole that was damaged in a crash, according to Cheshire police.
Police said South Main Street (Route 10) will be closed between Higgins Road and North Brooksvale Road (Route 42) for the next few hours after a car crashed into the pole. A detour is being set up, police said around 10:30 a.m.
There are no reported injuries from the accident, according to police.

Town officials said the car struck the pole, which snapped and left wires down across the road. Eversource and other resources are en route to the area, but repairs may take several hours, officials said.
