What I was looking for and wonder why there is not a law for the Cheshire Animal Control officer or any town officer to report this dog attack in the local newspaper, along with other important information, such as no license, no rabies vaccination, the name of owner, or amount of fined. Mom suffered for 14 days worrying if the dog had rabies as it was quarantined. The bit was small. Three punctures. No stitches needed, but the anxiety of waiting, wondering if she had to go through thr series of shots, etc. Mom is 65 years-old and in good health. On top of all this, the owner called her a lier, that the dog never bit her, while at the time of the attack, the wife was at the window, saw the commotion and yelled for the dog. Yes, the dog was unattended, as far as someone being outside with the loose dog. Mom says, that the dog became territorial of that corner of the building and charges at people, but never bit before. It is a beautiful creature, a minature pincher.
