DOT Says Cheshire Bus Route To Be Open

CTtransit bus Route 928 Southington-Cheshire-Waterbury Express will resume service Monday.

SOUTHINGTON/CHESHIRE — The state Department of Transportation Friday announced that a key transit bus service serving Southington, Cheshire and Waterbury will resume on Monday.

Friday, the DOT said the CTtransit bus Route 928 Southington-Cheshire-Waterbury Express will resume service Monday.

Like all public transit buses in Connecticut, this route will be fare-free until Dec. 1.

The 928 was originally suspended in September 2021 along with two other express routes.

While the 928 resumes on Monday, the 921 Middletown-Old Saybrook Express and 923 Bristol Express will resume service in August 2022.
