Driver Of Stolen Car Strikes Police Cruiser: Cheshire PD
Cheshire police are asking for help with finding a stolen vehicle that struck a police cruiser while trying to leave a shopping plaza Friday

CHESHIRE, CT — The Cheshire Police Department is asking for help with finding a stolen vehicle that struck a Cheshire police cruiser while trying to leave a shopping plaza on Friday night.
The vehicle, a gray Acura TLX bearing CT registration BK48377, was used to strike the police cruiser around 7:15 p.m. while the driver was trying to leave the Maplecroft Plaza at 275 Highland Ave. in Cheshire, according to Lt. Jeffrey Sutherland.
Sutherland said the Acura was reported stolen to the Waterbury Police Department earlier this month.

The vehicle proceeded to exit the plaza heading northbound and was last seen turning onto Pleasant Drive and travelling eastbound, according to Sutherland.
Sutherland said the Acura has passenger side front-end damage due to the collision.
