DUI Checkpoint Announced In Cheshire

Police announce a DUI checkpoint that will take place for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.

CHESHIRE, CT — The Cheshire Police Department will conduct a DUI Sobriety Checkpoint for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. The checkpoint will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 21 from 5 p.m. until 1 a.m.

The location of the checkpoint will be on South Main Street in the area of King Road. It is anticipated that a secondary location of Highland Avenue in the area of Weeks Road will be utilized during the second half of the checkpoint, according to police.

The DUI checkpoint was originally scheduled to be conducted on Saturday, Nov. 18 but has been moved due to the possibility of inclement weather, police said.
