Electronics Recycling Event To Be Held In Cheshire

CHESHIRE, CT — The Town of Cheshire is hosting a free Electronics Recycling Event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, at Quinnipiac Park, 1325 Cheshire Street.
Residents can drop off their electronic recyclables.
Acceptable items to recycle include: computers/laptop/printer/keyboard/mouse/monitor; TV/VCR/DVD/remote; telephone/cellphone; fax machine; console; scanners; iPods/PDAs; stereo equipment, camera; tablet/eBooks; small appliances, lightbulbs, game consoles/controllers and batteries.

The following items are NOT accepted: smoke detectors, car batteries, and appliances containing Freon, including AC units, refrigerators, and dehumidifiers. No other waste materials will be accepted.
Due to COVID-19 this will be a contactless drop-off, according to officials. Residents are asked to have items in your trunk or bed of a truck.

PLEASE NOTE: some items such as computer and related equipment (printers etc.). TV’s and stereo equipment, may be brought to CCRT, 22 Burton Drive, Cheshire, on any Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at NO CHARGE. Limit of seven items per visit.
