Sixty Years of Bovano: The History and Stories of a Cheshire Business

Kevin Flood of Bovano of Cheshire will present “Sixty Years of Bovano: The History and Stories of a Cheshire Business.”  The history of Bovano of Cheshire began in 1952. The company designs, creates, and distributes fine artistic sculpture. Bovano artisans continue to use many of the techniques developed from the early days of the company. Combining modern technology and old world craftsmanship, highly skilled Bovano artisans continue creating quality sculptures using the knowledge through decades of experience. Kevin Flood will talk about his grandfather, Dave Flood, one of the original owners of Bovano, and his father, Jim Flood, now the President of the company. He will also describe the old foundry building that still houses the enameling studio and Bovano Home Gallery.  The Cheshire Historical Society will have a display of Bovano sculptures through May 2012.
