First Niagara Announces New Small Business VP for Cheshire

Sean Doyle will cover Cheshire, Greater Hartford and Central Connecticut

First Niagara Financial Group (NASDAQ: FNFG) today announced the appointment of Sean Doyle to Vice President of Small Business Banking for Greater Hartford.

Doyle will be responsible for presenting and explaining the financial products, services and resources available from First Niagara to small businesses with up to $2MM in annual revenue. He will serve the Greater Hartford/Central Connecticut market, specifically focusing on East Hartford, Wethersfield, Cheshire, Plainville, Avon, Rocky Hill and Wallingford.

He will maintain an office in Rocky Hill and will report directly to Thomas Phillips, First Vice President, Small Business Team Leader.

“Sean brings to the table nearly a decade of working with small businesses in Connecticut; his experience and knowledge of this specific market is something we anticipate will translate well into his new role in Greater Hartford,” said Phillips.

Prior to joining First Niagara, Doyle served as a Store Manager for TD Bank, where he focused on establishing and maintaining financial relationships with local small businesses.

“Whether it’s improving their day-to-day operations or helping them expand and develop, I look forward to continuing to work with small businesses to offer them the right financial solutions for their needs,” said Doyle. “First Niagara has an excellent reputation of improving the communities they serve and I am excited to join their talented team of bankers.”

Doyle received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Rhode Island and had a Connecticut Real Estate License. He currently resides in Wallingford with his wife Rebecca and two sons Liam and Aidan.
