Former Cheshire Coach to Become Southington Athletic Director

Avon Athletic Director Greg Ferry, a former assistant football coach at Cheshire High School, will become the new athletic director at Southington following a vote by the Board of Education last Thursday night, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

Ferry, 39, will replace former athletic director Eric Swallow, who left for a position with Norwich Free Academy.

The Record Journal reports Ferry, a 1994 graduate of Cheshire High who was also worked as a guidance counselor at the school, is still working out details of his contract with the school board, including a start date.
