WHAT:
Housing Development Fund will
be hosting a free educational workshop in Waterbury to
help home owners make energy improvements affordable. The workshop will be held on June 6. 2013. The workshop will cover different types of energy improvements and provide details
about tax credits, rebates and financing that help residents renovate their
home without breaking the bank.

WHO: This event is hosted by the Housing Development Fund and the Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge and is open
to all New Haven and Litchfield County residents.
Housing Development Fund (HDF) is a certified Community
Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and HUD-Approved Counseling and
Lending Agency established 1989 as a nonprofit organization to finance the
development of affordable housing. Since its inception, HDF has been creating
affordable housing solutions for low- to moderate-income households in the high
cost markets of southwestern Connecticut.
The Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge is a
community energy savings program made possible by a $4.17 million grant from the
U.S. Department of Energy, funded as part of the Better Buildings initiative,
whose mission is to create a self-sustaining building energy upgrade
market.
