Friends of Boulder Knoll To Participate in 36-Hour Online Community Giving Challenge
Cheshire, CT – October 30, 2013 – Friends of Boulder Knoll announces its support of Give Local Greater Waterbury & Litchfield Hills, an online community giving challenge sponsored by the Connecticut Community Foundation which seeks to inspire as many people as possible to support local non-profit organizations between 7am November 12 and 7pm November 13, 2013. As a profiled organization on www.GiveLocalCCF.org, Friends of Boulder Knoll will benefit from this initiative.
Friends of Boulder Knoll is encouraging community members to participate as part of its annual membership drive. Through a social media campaign, Friends of Boulder Knoll is spreading the word about how donors who participate in the Give Local challenge will amplify their support by tapping matching funds and prizes.
“We are so excited to be part of the Give Local event this year,” remarked Dan Groberg, Fundraising Chair of Friends of Boulder Knoll. There’s never been a better time for community members to learn about the important work we are doing and to have their donations make a big impact. Our work of providing hands-on environmental education and providing healthy locally grown produce to those in need could not take place without community support.”
