Linda Chorney is a musician and writer who recently
published the book Who the F&*$ is Linda
Chorney?, an irreverent look at the music industry that
tried to sabotage her nomination for a Grammy. On Thursday,
May 30, 2013 at 7:00pm,Linda will be at the Cheshire Public
Library, where she will talk about her book and her experience,
as well as perform. Copies of her book and CD, Emotional
Jukebox, will be available for sale.
An American singer-songwriter originally from Sudbury,
Massachusetts, Chorney made history by being the first independent
artist to get nominated for Best Americana Album in 2012 without a
manager, label, or publicist by utilizing the Grammy 365 Social
Networking site.The industry, however,
was not pleased that an outsider had slipped past the
gatekeepers. They tried to undermine her nomination and
destroy her career. This book, written with
a great deal of humor, is your backstage pass to the inside
story of the Grammys. Fasten your seat belts for a wild ride
with Linda, as she sings and eventually lands on the Red
Carpet.
