Grass Clippings, Leaves Disposal Offered In Cheshire
Cheshire residents can dispose of residential grass clippings and leaves free of charge, officials recently announced.
CHESHIRE, CT — Beginning April 26, Cheshire residents can dispose of residential grass clippings and leaves in containers provided at 1286 Waterbury Road (adjacent to the Town Garage) free of charge, officials recently announced.
Residents must empty grass clippings and leaves out of bags and into containers, except for leaves in biodegradable bags, according to a post on the town’s website.
The containers will be accessible from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. every Monday (excluding Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Columbus Day), from Monday, April 26, to Monday, Nov. 1.

No other items will be accepted, and disposal by commercial operations is not permitted, according to officials.
