The Grocery Item Cheshire Had Delivered Most In 2021: Instacart

CHESHIRE, CT — As the coronavirus pandemic continues in the United States, many people have turned to online services for grocery pickup and delivery, including in Cheshire.

Instacart, a grocery delivery service, released some year-end statistics showing what people across the United States ordered in 2021. Nearly half of all Americans reported they had groceries delivered to their house during the pandemic, a survey by the company said.

Neighbors in Cheshire ordered chicken bacon, ground turkey, golden delicious apples, Italian sausage, and Greek/Icelandic yogurt most this year. Cheshire's delivery preferences are most similar to those of people in Milford, MA.

Also, Cheshire ordered enough bananas to create a stack as high as 76 Statues of Liberty.

The preferred ice cream flavors in Cheshire were the same as those nationwide: cookies and cream, cookie dough, strawberry, mint chip, and chocolate peanut butter, Instacart said.

Across the U.S., there was an increase in orders for gemelli pasta, cereal bars, and prepared sandwiches and wraps. Orders declined for pork center roasts, wax-covered cheese, and yeast.
