Hartford HealthCare HealthCenter opens in Cheshire

CHESHIRE - The new Hartford HealthCare (HHC) HealthCenter at 280 South Main Street in Cheshire is officially open.

The new 50,000 square-foot facility currently features experts from the HHC Ayer Neuroscience Institute’s David and Rhoda Chase Family Movement Disorders Center, the Ayer Neuroscience Institute’s Headache Center, and the Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network, plus a wellness center, acupuncture rooms, and conference rooms.

The second floor is scheduled to open to patients later this fall, featuring primary care, dermatology, cardiology, and clinical space for more than 20 specialties. Imaging services with the most advanced equipment will be available on the lower level of the building.

These specialties join existing services in town, including urgent care and behavioral health.

“We are incredibly proud to open our doors to the Cheshire community and beyond,” said Gary Havican, senior vice president of Hartford HealthCare, and president of MidState Medical Center and The Hospital of Central Connecticut. “This modern facility provides access to top experts and the latest technology and treatments in a convenient setting.”

To celebrate the opening, Hartford HealthCare sponsored the Bike Cheshire Ride to Wellness on Saturday, Sept. 21, which started and ended at the new HealthCenter. More than 100 cyclists connected with physicians and other clinicians who are now providing care in Cheshire, plus they enjoyed cider and apples from a local farm, as well as other treats before and after the ride.
