Helicopters Conducting Inspections In Cheshire, Here’s Why

CHESHIRE, CT — Officials are advising residents that Eversource will be using a helicopter to conduct routine patrols of their electric transmission line rights-of-way on Monday, March 30, 2026 and Tuesday, March 31.

“These aerial inspections will take place across several communities in central and southern Connecticut, including Cheshire,” officials wrote in a news release. “Crews will be inspecting the high-voltage transmission system to identify any potential issues that could impact electric reliability, ensuring they are addressed proactively. These patrols are an important part of their storm preparedness efforts.
