Danbury Native to Face Former WWF Superstars in Ring to Support Camp Tuition for Underprivileged Youth
On Saturday, June 17, Paradise Alley Pro Wrestling presents “Rumble in Paradise” featuring Danbury native Big Jym Anderson against former WWF superstars Paul Roma and Mario Mancini.
It's all in the name of charity, says Lance Galassi (also from Danbury), organizer of the "Rumble in Paradise" match who wanted to provide funds for a program near and dear to his heart: helping underprivileged youth in Danbury and surrounding towns attend summer basketball camp through Big Fun Academy.
Galassi said that he never had the opportunity to go to camp as a kid, something he had always longed to do. “It’s a privilege to do what I can for these youth,” he said.

Big Fun Academy is held at the Connecticut Sports Arena in New Milford and is run by Michael Acevedo, who believes that his camps - and those like it throughout Danbury, New Milford and New Fairfield – make a “real impact in keeping kids off the streets and out of trouble.”
The live event will take place on Saturday, June 17th at the Police Athletic League on 35 Hayestown Road, Danbury. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and bell time is at 7:00 p.m. For tickets and information on sponsoring, please call Michael Acevedo at 203-280-2296.
