Making Light in
Terezin, a documentary by Filmmaker/Playwright/Author, Woodbridge-native
and Yale graduate Richard Krevolin, will have its New England premiere on
Saturday, June 1 at Lyric Hall in the Westville section of New Haven. This remarkable documentary film
tells the true story of how, in the darkest days of WWII, Jewish prisoners
fought back against the Nazis…by singing, dancing and laughing.
Three
screenings are scheduled: 12 p.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Each screening will
include discussion and Q&A with Richard Krevolin and book sale/signing of
the film’s companion piece, Making Light
in Terezin: The Show Helps Us Go On, co-written with Bethany-native Nancy
Cohen. The 7 p.m. screening features a wine and cheese reception.
Tickets: $12
(12 & 3pm), $18 (7pm). Seating is limited, so advance ticket purchase is
strongly recommended: http://makinglightinterezinticketsales.yolasite.com.
