Man Displays Fake Gun at Other Drivers on I-84: State Police
Police were alerted to a man displaying a gun at other drivers in the Southington/Cheshire area early Tuesday morning: BREAKING

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Southington man is accused of displaying a fake gun at other drivers on I-84 West in the Southington/Cheshire area on Tuesday morning.
Connecticut State Police arrested Jason Marek, 35, of Pleasant Street, after he was located getting off the highway in Waterbury.
Police received reports at about 7 a.m. on Aug. 9 of a driver displaying a gun at other motorists.

A description of the vehicle was obtained and immediately radioed to state troopers in the area, according to police.
The suspect vehicle was located exiting the highway at Exit 18 in Waterbury and Marek was apprehended.

Police said a facsimile handgun was found inside of the vehicle.
Marek was charged with illegal use/possession of a facsimile handgun and breach of peace.
He was released after posting a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Aug. 22.
