Man Watched Boy, 6, Playing In Driveway: Cheshire Police

CHESHIRE, CT — Police are asking for help with the investigation of a “suspicious person” incident that happened over the weekend in Cheshire.

Police responded to the area of Mountain Road at Barkledge Court around 3 p.m. on Oct. 17 on the report of a suspicious person/vehicle. A man told police he was doing yard work while his 6-year-old son was playing near the driveway.

The man then noticed that someone had parked a red Subaru, possibly a Forrester, on an adjacent side street and watched his son from a wooded area between the property and the side street, according to police. The person was described as a white male about 6-feet tall with brownish hair and glasses.

When the homeowner approached the man, he “ran back to his vehicle and sped off,” according to police.

Police are asking any resident in the area to check their home surveillance footage for any person matching the description or the vehicle (pictured).
