Milford Couple Aims To Restore Historic Cheshire Orchard

MILFORD, CT — A Milford couple is aiming to bring back a Cheshire orchard that's been out of commission for the last 18 months, according to Hearst Connecticut Media. David Esposito and his wife, Suzanne Jagoe, expect to close on the Hickory Hill Orchards property next month with the aim to make it a community "focal point."

The property located at 351-363 South Meriden Road was listed for $3.5 million.

According to Zillow.com, the orchards represent "a stunning New England property in Cheshire, CT, featuring a charming 4143 square feet farmhouse nestled in approximately 33 beautiful acres of orchards and woodlands..."

Hickory Hill Orchards is listed as permanently closed on its Facebook page. The last post, an invitation to pick-your-own apples, is from October 2022.

The Connecticut Tourism Office has a page on Hickory Hill Orchards noting it offered hay rides, peaches, pears, and pumpkins, along with a gourmet store, picnic area, and holiday loft.
