Naugatuck Insurance Agent Helps Lead to $1,000 Donation to Cheshire Community Food Pantry

David Drescher received The Allstate Foundation’s Agency Hands in the Community grant award for his commitment to volunteerism. A $1000 grant was presented to the Cheshire Community Food Pantry.

The grant program recognizes Encompass insurance agents for outstanding community service with a $1,000 donation to a charitable organization. Part of the Allstate group,Encompass is one of the nation’s largest companies to provide protection through independent insurance agencies. To qualify for the grant, agents must show evidence of volunteer work that has had a positive impact on the local community.

David volunteers for the Cheshire Community Food Pantry. The Cheshire Community Food Pantry (CCFP) provides food to Cheshire residents in need. In partnership with interdenominational organizations in Cheshire, the Pantry provides services which improve the quality of life of individuals and families.’

“We believe that it’s important for businesses to take an active interest in their communities,” said Drescher. “I’m proud to commit my time and resources to the Cheshire Community Food Pantry, and I’m grateful to have The Allstate Foundation’s support for its work.”
