New Details on Likely Nor'easter Impact on Connecticut Thursday
There is growing confidence that a nor'easter will impact the state, and here's the latest details on how much snow/rain to expect.

There seems to be growing confidence that the season’s first nor’easter will impact the state on Thursday, however it appears most of the state will see some brief snow initially but mostly rain from this powerful storm.
However, areas in Litchfield County and parts of Hartford County may see more than 6 inches of snow where the cold air will hold on a lot longer, reports NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan.
Hanrahan wrote on social media that “Our first nor'easter of the season on Thursday! Without a cold high pressure to the north this storm will struggle to produce a lot of snow for most of Connecticut - in fact in southeastern Connecticut it should be just about all rain. North and west of I-84 there will be just enough stale cold air that we could see significant snow - especially in the hill towns. I'd say there's a better than 50/50 shot of seeing more than 6" of snow in Litchfield County and some of the hills in western Hartford County. By Friday morning the storm will be gone. More details later today!"

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote on social media, “Mild, 50s expected through the day today. Couple of morning showers followed by some sunshine for the afternoon. Colder 30s coming in for tomorrow. We are watching a storm for Thursday and Thursday night. Most of it looks to be rain at this point except for northern Connecticut where the rain may end as some wet snow.”
