New Pool Approved For Cheshire Fitness Zone

CHESHIRE, CT — The Cheshire Planning and Zoning Commission recently approved Cheshire Fitness Zone’s plans to add a new indoor swimming pool for clients, according to the Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports the business sought to build the pool for therapeutic and aquatic services.

Cheshire Fitness Zone is located at 382 South Main St., but the new pool will be located at a facility on George Avenue, near Cheshire Orthopedic and Rehab, according to the Record-Journal.

Cheshire Fitness Zone offers a multitude of therapeutic programs and was designed specifically for children and adolescents of all ages and abilities, according to its website.

“We feature three main therapy areas to include physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT) and speech therapy (ST),” a post reads on the website. “Our physical therapy gym has a full array of exercise equipment biomechanically designed to fit children as well as a 32 foot long rock climbing wall. In addition, our physical therapy space has a baby-friendly room and a private treatment room. Our occupational therapy space features two sensory gyms and two fine motor rooms. The speech department boasts a number of individual treatment rooms.”
