Obituary: Bernard M. Howard Sr., 102, Cheshire

CHESHIRE, CT - (From Alderson-Ford Funeral Home) Bernard M. Howard Sr., 102, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 at his home. He was the husband of the late Pauline (Beck) Howard.

Mr. Howard was born June 4, 1918, in York, PA, the son of the late Edward and Mabel (Worley) Howard. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a Facility Manager for the U.S. Government under direction of the Navy.

Mr. Howard is survived by his daughter Sandra J. Sandy; his son Bernard Howard Jr.; his grandchildren Paul Miller, Michelle Miller, Sharon Miller, Karen Spitznagel, Jeff Howard and Steve Howard; his great grandchildren Gary Pawlowicz, Courtney Pawlowicz, Stephanie Spitznagel, Ashley Spitznagel and Jeffrey Miller.

In addition to his wife and his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter Nancy L. Miller and his granddaughter Brenda Pawlowicz.

Arrangements – Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph Cemetery in Pomfret, MD. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
