Obituary: Giovannia 'Joanne' Vignola, 97; Formerly of Cheshire
Joanne, a devoted Catholic and avid attendee of Q.U. sporting events, worked as the Secretary of Athletics for Quinnipiac University.
CHESHIRE, CT - (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home) Giovannia "Joanne" Vignola, 97, formerly of Cheshire died peacefully Jan. 25th at Maplewood of Orange Senior Living.
She was the widow of Armand Vignola.
Born in New Haven, daughter of the late Gerardo & Pasqualina Marandino, Joanne worked as the Secretary of Athletics for Quinnipiac Univ. for many years.

She enjoyed getting together with family and friends every chance she got to tell stories of her life.
She was a devoted Catholic, attending daily Mass, and an avid attendee of Q.U. sporting events. Joanne was a light in so many lives and will be truly missed.

She is survived by a son Howard Vignola of Southington, and grandchildren, Caitlin (John A.) Demore of Milford and Kevin (Nicole Nadro) Vignola and their 2 children of Grand Isle, VT.
She was predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of christian burial FRIDAY 11:30 in St. Rita (Divine Mercy) Church.
Burial will follow in St. Lawrence cemetery.
