Obituary: Leonard W. Beckett, 82, Of Cheshire

CHESHIRE, CT — (From Alderson-Ford Funeral Home): Leonard W. Beckett, 82, of Cheshire, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at MidState Medical Center. He was the husband of Barbara (Oliver) Beckett.

Mr. Beckett was born May 17, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Leonard and Emily Gatley Beckett. He was a Sales Executive for many years before his retirement in 2010. He was a communicant of St. Bridget of Sweden Parish - St. Thomas Becket Church and was a member of the Cheshire Senior Center and the YMCA. He was a history buff who enjoyed coin collecting, traveling and dining out.

Besides his wife of 53 years, he is survived by his children Jared Beckett of Franklin, MA, Amanda Studley of West Warwick, RI, and Jason Beckett of Warwick, RI, as well as several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sisters Emily Bauer, Delores Ritchie, and Mary Hostler.
