Linda was a talented artist, avid puzzler and expert solitaire player amongst many other things. She was a crafter, & a fixer of all things.

CHESHIRE, CT — (From Alderson-Ford Funeral Home): Linda Ann Batza, 77, of Cheshire, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2022. She was born on January 25, 1945, in New Haven, CT to Joseph & Annette (Celello) Batza.

Linda was a talented artist, avid puzzler and expert solitaire player amongst many other things. She was a crafter, a fixer of all things, and the lady to go to if you needed anything from random supplies to a shoulder to lean on.

Linda was a lover of all animals, especially monkeys and birds. She owned many birds over the years, and if she had gotten her way, she would have owned a few monkeys too. Especially dear to her was her rescue bird, Rosie.

She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her brother Larry, going to lunch with her friends, and doing absolutely everything and anything with her children and grandchildren. Linda cherished and loved her family with everything she had.

Her greatest joys and accomplishments in life were her children and grandchildren. Above all else, Linda loved the Lord and served Him faithfully. Today, her joy is full, as she rests in His loving arms and beholds His unmatched glory.

She will be greatly missed by her family who cherished her, daughter Denise, (Frank), of Cheshire, CT; son Del (Debbie) of Spring Branch, TX; her grandchildren; Kaitlin, Tess, and Luke Bastin of Cheshire, CT; Colby Shewbridge of Spring Branch, TX and her brother, Larry Batza of East Haven, CT. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Batza, mother, Anette Batza, and her sister in-law, Joan Batza.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, November 14, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Homes of Cheshire, 615 S. Main Street. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Vertical Church in West Haven, CT. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. – 11 a.m., followed immediately by memorial services at 11 a.m. (225 Meloy Rd. West Haven, CT 06516). Memorial contributions may be made to: Rick Renner Ministries, Kenneth Copeland Ministries and Dutch Sheets Ministries (Give Him 15).
