Lisa M. Sokoloff, 35, of Cheshire, passed away on Feb. 3, 2016. Born in New Haven on July 11, 1980, she was the daughter of Richard and Janet (Murphy) Sokoloff of Cheshire.

Lisa is also survived by her brother Mark S. Sokoloff and his wife Sandra of East Hampton and her niece Taylor Sokoloff.

A resident of Cheshire most of her life, she excelled at every sport she played, but found her real passion and success playing basketball. To this day she holds the points record at Cheshire High School for the most points scored from freshmen to senior year, and she was point guard, with almost 2,000 points.

Lisa was All-State and among the best on the east coast during high school. She attended St. Lawrence University where she maintained a 3.8 average and graduated with a major in Psychology and a minor in English.

Lisa was a vibrant, funny, incredibly smart, beautiful, and a fantastic writer, as well as a caring daughter, sister, aunt, sister in-law, niece and friend who we loved and will miss very much. All our love always and forever.
