Obituary: Margaret Maddaloni, 64; Formerly Of Cheshire

CHESHIRE, CT — (From Alderson-Ford Funeral Home): Margaret Maddaloni, 64, formerly of Cheshire, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, after a valiant and fearless fight with cancer at Regional Hospice in Danbury.

Marg was born July 1, 1958, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Floyd and Helen (Ardzijauskas) Blansfield.

She was raised in Cheshire and was a talented special education teacher for the Wolcott School System for her entire career. A truly selfless and loving mother and grandmother, she was active in her children’s lives and immersed herself in photography creating astonishing crafts.

Marg is survived by her daughters Jen Potokin and her husband Jon, and Melissa Backus and her husband Donovan; her grandchildren Dan and Ben Potokin, and Roselyn Backus; as well as her former husband Paul Maddaloni. She was predeceased by her infant son, Eddie.

Marg’s family extends warm gratitude to the staff at Stamford Hospital and Regional Hospice for the compassionate and dignified care that they provided for her throughout her illness.
