Obituary: Michael P. Cooney, 37, Of Cheshire
Michael, who was the co-owner and operator of Celebration Party Rental, made everyone feel like they were family.
CHESHIRE, CT — (From Alderson-Ford Funeral Home): Michael P. Cooney, 37, of Cheshire, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at his residence. He was the loving son of William Leo III and Donna J. (Sekelsky) Cooney.
Mr. Cooney was born May 31, 1984, in Bridgeport.
Michael was the co-owner and operator of Celebration Party Rental at the time of his passing. Whether Michael was helping someone celebrate their special event, or speaking to a person for the first time, he made you feel like family. He truly considered his friends part of his family from his days at Doolittle School and Cheshire High all the way through his tent family.

Besides his parents he is survived by his two brothers Bill and his wife Tammy Cooney of Cheshire, and Mark Cooney of Newington.
Calling hours for Mike will be held 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021 at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410.
