Obituary: Phillip M. Spadaro, 64, Of Cheshire

He was a loss prevention manager for over 30 years with Staples prior to his retirement in 2020. His love for his family was unsurpassed.

CHESHIRE, CT — Phillip M. Spadaro, 64, of Cheshire, formerly of Watertown, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Wednesday peacefully with his family by his side, November 23, 2022, at Yale New Haven Hospital after an almost 4 months stay due to complications from a successful bone marrow transplant which occurred in March.

Phil had courageously lived with lymphoma for the past 6 years. He was the husband of Cindy (Rotell) Spadaro.

Phil was born April 25, 1958, in Waterbury, the son of the late Leon and Louise (Fardelli) Carper. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Wayne Saunders; and his in-laws Loretta & Joseph Rotell. He was a loss prevention manager for over 30 years with Staples prior to his retirement in 2020.

Those who knew Phil would describe him as kind, gentle, easy-going, and hard-working. His love for his family was unsurpassed, and his fight to live every day to its fullest was unmatched.

In addition to his wife of 36 years, he leaves behind his beloved family; his daughters Nicole Hines and her husband Chris, Amanda Bolognia and her husband Michael; his brothers Michael Saunders and Leon Saunders and his wife Sue; his sister Pamela Murphy; his brothers and sisters in law Tamara & Michael Amore and Jay & Jodie Rotell; the lights of his life, his grandchildren, Rocco Bolognia, Brooklyn Hines, Gracelyn Hines, and Luciana Bolognia; as well as several nieces and nephews and his lifelong best friend Michael Desanto, who was like a brother.

Arrangements – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 12 p.m. at St. Bridget of Sweden Parish-St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Committal will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
