Obituary: Suanne L. Pavlik, 82, Of Cheshire

For several years, Sue worked in Quality Control at Revere Aerospace in Wallingford and after her retirement, as a salesclerk at CVS.

CHESHIRE, CT — (From Alderson-Ford Funeral Home): Suanne L. Pavlik, 82, of Cheshire, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2023, at LiveWell in Plantsville, with her loving family at her side. She was the wife of the late Richard Pavlik.

Suanne was born October 13, 1940, in Binghamton, NY, the daughter of the late James and Helen (Collins) Scott. She adored her dogs, delivering several litters, and taking care of her late husband’s hunting dogs. She loved butterflies, gardening, and nature, and was known to her family as “Aunty Glady” (Gladiolus).

For several years, Sue worked in Quality Control at Revere Aerospace in Wallingford and after her retirement, as a salesclerk at CVS.

A woman of strong faith, she was a communicant of St. Thomas Becket Church where she served as a volunteer Cantor for many years. During election time, she volunteered at the election polls at Norton School.

Sue is survived by her daughters Pamela Ells and her husband Richard of York, ME, Jana Gurzenda and her husband Mike, Sr. of Plantsville, Karla Ryan and her husband Mark of Watertown; her sisters Sylvia Scott of NC, Helen Scott of MA, and Christine Siegel of FL; her grandchildren Peter Ryan and his wife Rachel, Mary, Jack, and Noah Ryan, Melissa, and Mickey Gurzenda; a great-grandchild due in August; many nieces and nephews; her grand doggies Ziva Ells and Molly Ryan; her dear family friends Steve and Roberta Lasek of Meriden, and Deb Killingbeck of Plantsville, and many wonderful neighbors. In addition to her parents and her husband, she is predeceased by her daughter Tanya and her beloved dog Scooter.
