CHESHIRE, CT — Crews are at the scene of a rollover crash involving an oil truck on Mountain Brook Drive in Cheshire, according to police.

Police said the crash has caused a “hazardous materials incident.”

The Cheshire Fire Department and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection are at the scene “coordinating containment and cleanup,” according to police.

There were no injuries reported by the operator and sole occupant of the oil truck, police said.

The cause of the crash is being investigated by Cheshire police.

Police said South Brooksvale Road will be closed to southbound traffic from Bethany Mountain Road (Route 42) to Mountain Brook Drive for the investigation and cleanup of the incident.
