Original Shoreline Art Comes to Cheshire
Barbara's Gallery is currently exhibiting the work of shoreline artists Maureen Wilkinson and Christine Chiocchio.

Cheshire, CT - Barbara’s Gallery and Framing in Cheshire is proud to announce that in 2016 they will be featuring original artworks by Connecticut artists as a complement to the quality framing services they have been providing the community for over 30 years. Barbara is currently exhibiting the work of two notable shoreline artists, Maureen Wilkinson and Christine Chiocchio, who paint and teach in the scenic shoreline town of Stony Creek in Branford. Works currently on display include still life, landscapes, atmospheric seascapes and boating scenes.
Maureen is equally adept in oil and watercolor, and has a large body of work in both media. She is drawn to the freshness and immediacy of watercolor but equally enjoys the demands of oils. Maureen teaches art classes in Branford at Canoe Brook Center as well as at Stony Creek Studios. During the summer months, she paints and teaches plein air classes on the Thimble Islands. She also conducts workshops abroad for small groups of students. Maureen’s work is in private collections in the US, Sweden, Costa Rica and France, as well as in several banks, hotels and insurance companies in the United States.
