Over 1,000 Participants Expected at the 2016 Hot COCO 5K & Kids Fun Run!
The 8th Annual Hot COCO 5K & Kids Fun Run takes place Saturday, November 19 in Cheshire.

Cheshire, CT: The 8th Annual Hot COCO 5K & Kids Fun Run takes place Saturday, November 19 in Cheshire. The scenic rolling 5K course begins at The Norton School and travels part of the paved historic Farmington Canal Line. The Kids Fun Run starts at 10:00am and is followed by the 5K at 10:10am. The race benefits Abilities Without Boundaries, Cheshire’s premiere non-profit providing individuals with disabilities with the freedom and opportunity to succeed in social and vocational pursuits within a safe, nurturing environment.
With over 900 runners in 2015, organizers expect a record crowd of 1,000 participants! After the race, runners and spectators are invited to enjoy a post-race party featuring entertainment, food, beverages, live music, children’s activities, awards ceremony and more. Hot cocoa is also provided! Cash prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and female 5K finishers. Awards are given to top age-group finishers. All runners in the Kids Fun Run receive a finisher ribbon. Long sleeve technical running shirts are given to the first 500 entrants in the 5K. All remaining runners and Kids Fun Run participants receive cotton t-shirts.
