• Man accused in 11-year-old Connecticut girl's death faces new attempted burglary charge (fox61.com) — A man already charged in the death of 11-year-old Jacqueline "Mimi" Torres-Garcia now faces an additional attempted burglary charge tied to an October 2025 incident. State police linked him and a Cheshire resident to a Middlefield home break-in attempt and a Plainville car burglary, later interviewing him at Cheshire Correctional Facility, where he remains held on multiple serious charges.
