Patriotic Events in Cheshire, Connecticut

On Tuesday, July 4th, on the green in front of the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Drive, there will be a commemoration of events culminating in the reading of the Declaration. The hour-long ceremony -- which has now become an annual Cheshire tradition -- will include everything from the reciting of Patrick Henry's 'Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death' speech, to the commemoration of the signers of the Declaration, and much more. It will end with the reading of the Declaration of Independence - America's birth certificate.The event is scheduled to begin at 10 am. All members of the public are invited.
