Police Identify Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Cheshire
The accident took place Thursday night.

Cheshire police have identified the victim in Thursday night’s fatal accident as Ji Zheng Cai, 67, of Brooklyn, New York, according to NBC Connecticut.
NBC reports that Cai was trying to cross Route 10/South Main Street when he was struck by a car driven by Bonnie Winter, of Cheshire, at about 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 20.
Cai suffered life-threatening injuries at the scene and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead on Thursday night.

Police are still investigating the crash and Winter has been cooperating with police, according to NBC.
The New Haven Register recently reported that the investigation could take several weeks.
