Police Seek Serial Groper in Cheshire
There have been several reported incidents of a teen grabbing women's buttocks and Cheshire Police are investigating.

CHESHIRE, CT — Cheshire Police are investigating a string of similar incidents in which a male teenager has approached several women and grabbed their buttocks over the past several months in the same area of town.
Police detail the incidents below:
- In May, a woman walking in the Strathmore Drive area was approached by a young white male who ran up behind her. As she turned around toward the male, he grabbed her buttocks with two hands. The suspect then picked up a bicycle and rode into the woods.
- On June 2, a walker on the Linear Trail in the area of Lock 12 was pushed to the ground by a young white male riding a bicycle. He then grabbed her buttocks, smiled at her then rode away.
- In early June, a woman was similarly grabbed while walking in the Strathmore Drive area. This woman was approached by a young white male who walked up behind her and grabbed her buttocks with two hands. He then smirked at her before walking back toward two other young white males located further back on the road.
- On Aug. 22, a woman was walking in the neighborhood of Strathmore Drive. She walked past a young white male who was pacing around, she and the male both exchanged hellos to each other and she continued on her way. She then was approached by the same male who was running toward her, he grabbed her in a ‘bear hug’ from behind and threw her to the ground. He then grabbed at her buttocks and pulled at her shorts before she finally pushed him off of her.
- The suspect in the most recent incident was described as a 5-foot-9 white male teenager, approximately 160 pounds and athletically built, tanned with short dark hair and no facial hair. He was wearing a blue shirt, gold basketball shorts, black socks, and had braces with blue bands on his teeth.
The suspect has been similarly described in each incident as a white male, high-school aged, and athletically built, according to police.

“Several accounts specify that the suspect has black (possibly curly) hair, and braces,” police said in a press release. “These four incidents all occurred in a small geographical area, and are in close proximity to access trails to and from the CHS/Bartlem Park areas. The CPD is currently following investigative leads and is working to develop a suspect.”
Cheshire Police are encouraging walkers, joggers, etc., to use caution, walk with a partner, and to report any suspicious persons or behavior to the police department.
